An art historian by training, Nancy Cohen Israel began her career in art education at the Dallas Museum of Art where she was the McDermott Intern in Education, serving the docent program. She has since taught a wide variety of art history courses through Southern Methodist University’s Continuing and Professional Education programs, at community colleges and in museum settings throughout Dallas. For over 10 years, she has been a popular lecturer at the Meadows Museum where she gives public lectures, gallery talks and docent training. She is currently the Manager of Docent Programs at the Meadows Museum. For a partial list of some of these programs, please visit the CV page.

For 15 years, as the owner of Art à la Carte, Nancy organized and led Second Saturdays, taking art enthusiasts into artists’ studios, private collections and interesting art venues across Texas. She has also organized and led multi-day visits to museum groups across North America.

It is Nancy’s great pleasure to continue her mission of bringing art to life and life to art.
